Prehistoric mutant Musketeers, &c.
Mar. 14th, 2003 10:21 amMy more memorable dream (there was something earlier about how our landlords owned alarming property in Paris that we could stay in, except that it was, of course, alarming) was that it was ancient or possibly even prehistoric Greece, except that there were cars and computers (some of them imports, with Egyptian hieroglyphic keyboards) and New Wave music, all somehow operating on different scientific principles (or so I deduced in the dream; apparently I was from the future).
brigid and
fudjo and some other people and I went to the mall to buy some CDs, and from there we somehow ended up as undercover agents trying to investigate police brutality against mutants (in the X-Men sense). Fudjo turned out to be a mutant Musketeer in service to the King (he had a signet ring and everything). We pretended to make friends with some young policemen (one of whom had hair like Fudjo, which was somehow significant in a way that I can no longer recall), who were friendly New Wave fans, except that we knew they were torturing mutants so it was hard to like them, but there was still some internal conflict there.
I remember that I pretended to be from Sparta.
I can't tell you how it ended, however; pesky alarm.

Off soon for a weekend in northern Vermont. Ciao.
