The internet through rose-tinted screen

Last night, to combat stress, we watched "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," the original movie, dubbed into Spanish on Telemundo, for there are only so many times one can watch "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" in one decade.

J. was offered the job in Cambridge, at long last, and she decided to take it -- a foregone conclusion, but still not uncomplicated. This morning she was to tell her current boss she was quitting, and we were worried about how that would go. Said boss might take it personally somehow, to judge from past behavior. And J.'s boss's boss likes to tell stories about how people who have worked there work there forever, with an exemplary tale of one man who came into work on the day he died of old age in his 90s.

So, stress.

Turns out it went well enough though, at least on the surface, according to an e-mail she sent me. Hooray.

So starting in April (just after we get back from Paris) we're both going to be living a Greater-Boston-centered life again, though still residing in the Witch City. Hooray! Maybe that means we'll see people more often.

You know, it occurs to me after all these years that the band London After Midnight is just damn silly.
