Aug. 24th, 2002 08:33 pmObviously now that I have been to Staples and bought things to help me put my files in order, it is absolutely imperative that I tidy up my desk before I can write anything more.
It was I who drove us to Staples and only did one very stupid thing, but fortunately there was no on-coming traffic to make me pay the consequences. I am finding the obvious, that the more I practice with this whole car thing the less tense and jittery I am about it.
Last night: J. and I went to the Brimmer Theater at Emerson to see the Improv troupe Klae is in. A good show, and considerably funnier than the only other performance we've seen in that theater (a production of "The Heiress," which at least had good costumes thanks to Rachel / Ladybee). Afterwards, Klae and SJC and J. and I and some of Klae's fellow castmembers went to the Beacon Hill Pub, where we drank beer out of classy plastic tumblers.
Said J.: "There's nothing to make me feel like a hip city girl than going to a bar where they're playing The Doors."
Current smells: from the kitchen, baking spinach-cheese-and-flour gnocchi. From the bathroom, the catbox. Unfortunately my desk is considerably closer to the latter.
