Then 'til now
Apr. 16th, 2003 11:33 amThe weekend went more or less as planned:
Friday night J. and I met at the Someday Cafe and proceeded directly to Blue Fin at the Porter Exchange for a bowl of eel and inari udon (respectively), where we were apparently sighted by Futurenurselady and Xanyboi. From there we drove to Central Square and, after some effort (but less than if we had come later) got a spot in good ol' Public Lot 5. Our plan was then to go to Mama Gaia's cafe, study for a bit, change into club clothes, and go to Man Ray. With the substitution of 1369, a cafe that is not, unlike Mama Gaia's, an empty storefront, that is what we did.
(I interrupt here to pass on the information I have recently received that "Sunchips are Lunch Chips!" They are not, however, necessarily "Have-with-Coffee Chips!", at least not the Freedom Onion flavor. File that away for future reference.)
(No, fortunately they are not really labeled "Freedom Onion." And if they were, it would have been a misnomer; there was no melted cheese on top.)
( Anyway... )
