Who would have thought it?
Jun. 9th, 2003 10:55 amSo in all my wondering and theorizing (not particularly reflected in this medium) about why my health insurance prescription benefit has run out sooner this year than in the past -- and that even after switching to a generic medication -- it never occurred to me that the explanation might be the fact that the generic medication costs the same as the brand-name: so my lower co-pay just eats up the insurance money faster.
It works out to be the same annual out-of-pocket expense, but with the generic, it comes pretty much all at once.
That's vexing.
Also, my fingers are cold.
