Good weekend

Lots of socializing, thanks to (I'm not going to use tags or links, so there) madphysicist and [everyone I saw in his company, a list of whose names might be tedious for the reader, except for those who get a thrill of seeing their own username in print in other people's journals], mistresshellena, xanyboi, futurenurselady, sarcy, khourytamarisk, and the mighty DiPesa. To wit: a fun cookout, pleasant conversation and nail-painting, strawberry-picking, and cheesy but entertaining movies about horrible fish people who kill non-fish-people, except for this one guy turns out, after all (to his chagrin) to be a horrible fish person himself, except that they don't kill him, making my original description still valid.

(I stole that last bit from myself, originally in an e-mail to J. I'm so damn clever, and I want everyone to know it.)

Somewhere in there I managed to clean the kitchen. I even mopped the mud room which was still largely in its winter-induced state. Go me!

Now, it is still the weekend, of course, and there is still much to be done. At some point before I leave Wednesday I should really do a bit of mowing, for instance. And then there is the dissertation...
