- ( warning: naughty word )
- I am editing a review of a book concerning legends in Armenia and thereabouts that Adam (of Biblical fame) signed a contract with Satan. The author of the book argues that this was a mistake rather than a sin, since Adam was not disobeying a direct commandment as in re: fruit. The reviewer finds this "questionable," pointing out that "there is a category of unwitting sins, amongst which one would imagine a contract of eternal fealty to the Devil to be a biggish one."
- I am overwhelmed with piles of paper and things to do, most of them nowhere near as charming as that review. Some of it is imaginary, but no less pressing for all that.
