Thanks to badriyaz and julishka I am now aware of Hatebeak, a metal band fronted by a parrot. A sample track can be found here, part way down the page, but you have to listen to some geese honking "Honkey Tonk Woman" first.

Speaking of music, at the supermarket earlier J. and I heard the saxophone-laden horror of "You Belong to the City," which made me think of other_hbk's late Mage character.
