Good company and an over-abundance of meat last night at a Korean grill restaurant (Koreana, for those in the area), at last having a dinner that has been put off since late November. There are a couple of other such cases we must attend to very soon. We do not forget you, dear friends. We just blow you off for six months or so until we finally get around to spending time with you.
This weekend must be devoted to Consuela. I have coffee, a stack of books comprising a significant portion of the Boston University library's Tacitus collection (many of which have been in my repeatedly renewed possession since the early days of Clinton's second term), swing music, and a squirmy cat drooling on my pants.
