I'm a paid member now. Soon I will get my official Stonecutters ring and will be able to start using secret tunnels and stuff.
I had a dream last night I was going to Germany for a conference but forgot to pack clothes or the conference paper, and my flight was rerouted to some geographically impossible war-torn Central Asian country that somehow bordered both Germany and Afghanistan, but Israel was the closest place to go swimming.
Oh, and somehow I needed to get some pictures to
lachesis of her costumed as one or more swan queens from Swan Lake (the outfit was black and white, so maybe she was some sort of hybrid), but then it turned out she already had them.

Paris trip in less than a month. It doesn't seem real -- for one thing we have done almost no planning, unlike last year when one or more sample itineraries were drawn up and we had a hotel reservation and so on. But then we ignored the itineraries and the hotel turned out not to be reserved, so maybe that's a factor this year. That and we both have massive writing projects to occupy our time which need to be done before we leave, and so leaving is something that is most pleasantly thought of as something not happening soon.

My escapist TV is all too depressing this week. How tiresome. Even "The West Wing" looks like it's going to have some sort of trauma involved. Although it involves the First Lady, possibly the least sympathetic character on the show next to the Vice Pres., so who cares.
(Do you think that on "Angel" they had to have a cliffhanger involving Wesley as well as Connor because they knew lots of viewers didn't give a damn about the baby?)

Finally, Ashcroft is a loonie.
