(no subject)
Mar. 7th, 2002 10:23 amSo I actually watched in horrified fascination about 15 minutes of "The 700 Club" last night, as it came on after the usual hour of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" on ABC Fam. They'd cover a news story in a real-news-with-anchor-and-everything sort of way, then Pat would say a few words about it in a half-smiling, head-shaking-sadly, I-know-God's-will-better-than-you sort of way, then they'd do another story.
J. had heard some of the day's stories on NPR earlier, and noted how remarkably different they seemed, to the point of appearing almost unrelated.
Which admittedly may say as much about NPR as it does Pat's CBN reporters.
Okay, maybe not "as much."
I grow weary of "MŠnnlichkeit und Weiblichkeit." As a subject of academic study in foreign languages, anyway; in day-to-day life it's all quite charming.
