Apr. 15th, 2002 01:17 pmYo yo yo.
So this weekend saw the end of a good LARP in which I finally played a Bad Guy to my satisfaction, and a spectacular lack of progress on anything else in the real world, although in the "literature review" section of my dissertation-prospectus-in-progress I have doubled the word count from around 3000 to 6000 just by pasting in the titles of books and articles I hadn't written about yet.
Which is progress of a sort, though depressing.
Saturday was the fi rst time I've ever managed to finish a live-action role-playing game chronicle; for a completely different reason each year (since 1996 or so) I've always had to miss the last session (except where one has turned out retroactively to be the last), with th e exception of the Lunatic Fringe "Phoenix" chronicle a few years ago, but then that only had three games and I missed the first one. Thanks to
muzzie for going the hell out of his way to drive me to Salem after the game Saturday so I could st ay until the very end.
And I won a popularly voted prize for my character, so worship me and stuff.
I did, however, miss the second-to-last game a few weeks ago; that's because I was in Brittany, and I'll tell you about that later on this afternoon, but for now I should do a little work on the off-chance that my boss shows up.
Oh: LARP geeks past and present: whatcha doin' June 22? And does
fenzle want to come reprise Poodlesbane?
