May. 17th, 2002 09:13 amA slacker day today. Advisor is away until the end of the month, I couldn't defend my prospectus until September even if I finished it before lunchtime, and so I'm going into town to hang out at the Someday. Come say hi.
I was reminded last night that homemade hot fudge is good.
Sunday night: "X-Files" series finale or the Martha Stewart special on children's parties? Maybe I'll just work on my prospectus.
You wouldn't think that Foxwoods-Casino-bound chartered buses would need to drive through residential Salem, but there it was.
But will the Bush administration send peace envoys to settle matters in the Boston-area goth/gamer-geek community?
Hooray for s p e x and his advice concerning ethernet crossover cables.
But let us grieve over the sad truth concerning the limited usefulness rewritable CDs, a grief heightened by the large-ish quantity of them I bought.
Anyone need some old Macs? Got an old Performa and a "Supermac" compatible.
Looks like I will need to purchase a USB Zip drive, since it's cheaper than the USB-to-SCSI adapter for the old one. How vexing.
J. bought a bunch of 5-dollar-and-something movie tickets from the Harvard "Innings and Outings" office, so we can go see Ep. 2 cheap in about 10 days. But I think "Spider-Man" is almost fair game now.
Anyone work at Harvard who doesn't ride the T? Unfortunately J. can only get one pass a month at the massive employee discount.
We're also going to go see "Lysistrata" soon.
J. walks by Drew M. many a morning and smiles and waves, but his cautious response seems to indicate he's not sure who she is.
Where -- where, I ask you -- are the chaos dwarfs I ordered?
Must find a site for my Changeling LARP in June. Blah.
If only the graduate school were as convinced as the alumni office that I already have my Ph.D.
