Jul. 17th, 2002 02:49 pmClass was dull today. I think I felt nearly every second of those three
plus hours go by. But at least it was class number 5 of 9, and so I'm closer to being finished than not.
Also, we watched a Boston-area news piece on when to get your car serviced, how to change oil, etc., and it featured the butch mechanic women from Somerville. So that's cool.
In that same video, however, the host, newspaper columnist Mike Barnicle, failed to be relevant when he said something about how the noise coming from under the hood sounded like Guns-'n-Roses jamming with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Tomorrow night is the excitement of the Athenaeum summer cookout, where we get to mingle with an unusual assortment of people. Last year that included the mayor's wife and lockjawed yachters in their little sea captain's hats and neck scarves (well, just one, but he looked like Mr. Howell).
