Hmm. I continue to have odd difficulties posting entries here. Is this a Livejournal problem, or an iCab 2.9.1 problem?
I started the day watching a "Pepper Ann" episode while eating undercooked oatmeal (because I did not cook it long enough).
I finished some game-related stuff, which included reading a description of my character's immersion in a surreal nightmare-scape involving Barney the dinosaur, Christina Aguillera's zombie, and creepy children.
I did some data entry into my "women in Tacitus" vocabulary database. (It was dull.)
I checked my e-mail.
I ate blueberry cobbler with J. at tea-time.
I loaded neo-medieval music into iTunes.
I beat the computer at euchre.
I read some of D.C.A. Shotter, "Tacitus' View of Emperors and the Principate," in: Aufstieg und Niedergang der Römischen Welt / Rise and Decline of the Roman World (ANRW), ed. W. Haase, II.33.5 (Berlin-New York: Walter de Gruyter, 1991): 3263-3331.
The near future, so far as I can read it:
I will shovel the walk.
I will eat my share of the last of the leftover cassoulet along with salad and some red table wine.
I will read the rest of D.C.A.
I will probably read some other stuff, too, most likely down in the living room while J. reads some French anthropology thingy.
At some point, I will go to sleep. Perhaps I will have noteworthy dreams. Perhaps not.
