on not joining the chorus
Sep. 4th, 2003 02:40 pmThe music and, for some reason, the weather are taking me back to north central Ohio ca. 1991, and endless hours of chorus rehearsal, and my mixed feelings about that.
I have a friend from those bright college days who lives in the area, being originally from Ipswich (although I haven't seen her, really, since she moved here many years ago -- but when she was only up to visit family in Ipswich I saw her several times a year) -- anyway. She e-mails me from time to time to say her choral group needs tenors or what-have-you. But while I miss it, sometimes, I shy away from as many recurring time commitments as possible, especially if they happen to be weekly or worse.
That's kept me out of a lot of good tabletop games, too; alas.
This post has turned out rather drier and less dripping with nostalgia than was my intention. I suppose that's all to the good.
