- I read yesterday that taking aspirin can reduce the possibility of a first heart attack. Does that mean it won't happen at all, or that you skip right to the second one?
- Do non-SF/Fantasy shows have geek followings? Well, maybe soap operas, come to think of it: but are there people out there that write Joey/Chandler slash or argue viciously in an online forum about the merits of the previous night's "King of Queen" episode or have usernames like "iheartraymond4evah" or roleplay in some "West Wing"-inspired furry MUSH? Or, more to the point, are there people who approach the fandom scene from that direction first? I note for the benefit of spriggan that there are no google results for http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Do+non-SF/Fantasy+shows+have+geek+followings%3F&btnG=Google+Search.
- I dreamed last night that several theology students and I were holed up in a church while a demon-possessed mentally handicapped woman stalked and killed us one by one. But I wasn't worried as I had seen the episode before.
- Speaking of fan geekery,
I thought that our hero's showdown with the paramilitary guy could have been "richer," with some sort of "I outgrew my own ultimate evil phase" statement rather than that lame comment about mercy. Or, perhaps, before killing him, pointing out that he was prepared to treat with him as an unruly subordinate in the traditional Wolfram-and-Hart fashion, if that's what he wanted.
But it's hardly something to lose any sleep over.

Date: 2003-10-02 11:00 am (UTC)yeah, i remember that night. Good times. Good times. Remember when I chanted that Greek incantation incorrectly and red Kool-Aid poured out of that bitch's head instead of her becoming a statue? I meant to use that verb in the passive not the active voice. Stupid me.
We should do that again some time.
