Damn you Blizzard Entertainment! I reinstalled Warcraft II for the first time in about three years and remembered why I eventually took it off. Got up late this morning since I stayed up late last night attacking things with little electronic orcs.

On the plus side, yesterday evening before I came home and started playing computer games I got through a very useful article which has inspired me to add things to my Barbarian Chicks paper. All was going well, until I had to look up a detail online and figured while I was logged in , I might as well...

My brother pleads, "Save me from Wendy's!" I think he'd like a job where he can be allowed to be rude to people. There aren't many such, unfortunately, and certainly not in a small city in Ohio where there are only retail and fast food jobs to be had. I think it's seriously getting him down.

Maybe I shouldn't have told him about last week's "Buffy" episode; I can see him cracking, leaping over the counter, and shouting "It's people! It's people!"

Well, maybe not, but he has always wanted to have a cute little calf near the counter, and after taking someone's order for a burger turn to the cow and say, "Well, Bessie, this is it," and lead it off back out of sight and manufacture a heartwrenching thump-and-moo.

Heh. Teenagers.

I suspect he will not be able to arrange this.

One-shot voting for the spring non-vampire game is neck-in-neck! Will our hero run his changeling game for once without having to spend more time finding a site than planning for the game, and when there are actually people around to play in it?

It's not looking like it. Oh well.

Actually, if I don't get the one-shot slot, I'd be tempted to do a different game later this summer, putting off the next installment of the changeling game until some other time. I have this idea for a strange game with elements of steampunk, "Adventure!," "Laws of the Hunt," "Changeling," "For Faerie, Queen and Country," "Shadowrun," "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen," "Bordertown" stories, and other assorted weirdness all jumbled together. I think it would be set just before WWI. Or maybe WWII, as Nazis make great villains.

Watch out!

Blizzard is releasing Warcraft 3 this year. Although I'm looking forward to a Starcraft sequel because that game was the best. Now I blame Black Isle's (http://www.blackisle.com/) D&D adventure Baldurs Gate 2:TOB (http://www.interplay.com/bg2throne/) for sucking my life away.

Uh oh.

I've never tried Starcraft, despite general consensus that it's a better game. For my own protection.

I reckon.

If I don't get to it this summer, maybe I'll pitch it for next year's one-shot. Or something.
