Perhaps at some point someone told you to "think outside the box." This was probably meant metaphorically, but at any rate it applies only to thinking.

Ha! I have one of those too. She refuses absolutely to crap in the box. She will pee in there but nothing else. She's a notorious loco gato. ;)
