A run-off election, or something
Feb. 14th, 2004 05:44 pmThe other day I posted a poll concerning a name for my dissertation, so I could refer to it without using the D-word. The voter turnout was overwhelming, but several candidates have had, regretfully, to drop out for failing to place.
It's down to two candidates now. I'd say "It's up to you, America," but that would be unnecessarily exclusive, whereas listing all of the countries I can remember where y'all are would be tedious. and "It's up to you, Livejournal" lacks poignancy.

Date: 2004-02-14 03:47 pm (UTC)"Fat Eddie", I think would be unfortunate, because I'd start thinking of it as a big fat problem, like Spalding Gray's Monster in a Box. Fat Eddie sounds like someone who would break your knees or beat you with a cue stick after first beating you soundly at 8-Ball.
