"Name that dissertation" voting ends tomorrrow (Wednesday) morning at whatever time I log in. Early polling had Fat Eddie and Consuela neck-in-neck (how scandalous!), but Eddie has now drawn ahead by four votes (since necking scandals hurt women more than men, I guess; a sad manifestation of the double standard in our society).
This is an issue that clearly has aroused a lot of strong feelings, so that at least one person has logged in with a secondary LARP-related journal to cast an additional vote! The mind boggles.
J., who is, as a non-blogging individual, technically disenfranchised here, reserves the right to cast a tiebreaking vote, but I've promised her that if the name she doesn't like wins, I'll employ it only as the online username of my dissertation.
