In the past few days I have managed to sustain a minor throat injury in a toast-swallowing incident and hurt my ear while engaged in what should have been a routine turtleneck-sweater removal.

If one breaks ear cartilage -- and I'm not saying that's what happened -- does one wear an ear-sling? But I can't see as that would help.

Last night I dreamed:
1. That I was dating an Asian woman whose name may have been, improbably, "Amy Megaptera," who was, before you ask, not at all whale-like; and that my uncertainty about her name was a source of some anxiety;
2. That [livejournal.com profile] catling was unhappily employed as the hall-monitor of a college dormitory, complaining that it cut into her body-painting activities (not shown);
3. That [livejournal.com profile] cris had starred in two well-received indie films, in one of which, an unscripted documentary, he (in a feat worthy of [livejournal.com profile] basha's Mage character) through logic and careful argument convinced a woman who had wronged his family to kill herself (not shown); and
4. That I ate french fries at a diner.

That I ate french fries at a diner.

Ah-HA! My theory, which is mine, is vindicated. All dreams are about food, Catlings in body-paint notwithstanding.

This would make me feel real weird around [livejournal.com profile] cris, though.

It was never stated anywhere that the offscreen body paints weren't edible, and for all I know Cris's victim died from self-inflicted overeating, so maybe you're right.

Only if one intends to walk on it, or use it for heavy lifting.

Nope! J (Skaven) 'broke' his ear in HS - someone got into a fight with him and shoved him against a locker (or wall, or something. I wasnt there :)). It broke the cartilage at the top of his ear, which now bends a little funny, but you cant tell.
Unless you can get his ear to make that popping noise.
No, I'm not telling you how I did it.
