Get the issue out!

The weekend went as predicted: RPG goodness. Yet again, Uncletang and Mobilejessie hosted a game they weren't even playing in, and Tang even drove me back to Salem after. How cool is that?

Old-fashioned AD&D yesterday, with hut-punching zombies, donuts, and at least as much non-game-related conversation as gaming.

Afterwards J. and I had an exciting evening of going through supermarket fliers to see where it would be most economical to shop. Among the fliers was an envelope inviting us to join a video/DVD club, and I opened it up to play that pointless game of "even if I wanted to join at all, could I even find 12 videos I wanted among their selection to get for the price of one?" But I was mistaken as to the contents of the envelope: it was a catalog for Really Bad Hardcore Porn specializing in freakish genitalia, real or not (thrill to the udder-like Octo-cock!). Fate paid me back for sending terrible links for Mobilejessie's research. And yet it all could have been avoided if I'd looked more closely at the envelope and seen it was addressed to a guy down the street rather than to "resident."

Today: I am to finish editing the present issue of the Journal and FedEx it to the publishers. Should actually be possible, unless I putter away online here.

Dammit.

Vexing time trying to meet the deadline, with questions for the boss who is somewhere on campus, and so I go to listen to Perkigoth radio for some, well, perking up and find that in the last four or five days it has suddenly become "available only to preferred members" of Live365.

Which I don't intend to become.

So I'm going to dig out something loud and annoying from my CDs and play that instead. But it won't be the same.

Update, moments later, at the Hall of Injustice: CD-ROM drive isn't working; it occurs to me I haven't tried to use it since updating the system software. No time to fix it today. Blah.
