Feb. 16th, 2002 11:41 amSo for
dancer and anyone else who cares, the next Burlesque Revival Assoc. show will be May 22 at the Hernandez Cultural Center in Boston's South End.
Yesterday turned out to be boring; the boss never showed.
On the other hand, following non-serious discussion on a mailing list I'm on, I was moved to spend time discovering whether there had ever been Buffy/Star Trek crossover slash fanfic, particularly involving characters from the "evil universe" versions of those shows. The answer, to my surprise, as the two shows are in my limited exposure currently the main inspirations for slash fiction, seems to be no -- so aspiring writers, go to it.
In the process I learned more about slash fanfic than I cared to, without actually having to read any, but I knew there was that danger going in. I at least learned why they call it "slash," and it's a boring answer.
I did find non-slash fanfic where Q had created vampires and the Continuum created slayers in response, but that's different.
Must go be a different kind of geek now.
