camera = yet another way to procrastinate
Jul. 17th, 2004 11:32 amAn unexpectedly generous wedding-ish / going-away-ish present from friends of ours, viz., a digital camera (a Canon PowerShot A75, for those who need to know such things), means that when we leave for France (in a single-digit number of weeks, which is really quite an alarming thought), we can take pictures of lots of cheese, and suchlike.
In the meantime, however, it means I can post obligatory kinds of pictures as found in livejournals everywhere. Here are a few, by no means meant to be exhaustive.
First, pets. One must post pictures of pets. These are, respectively, Little Kitty and Big Kitty, aka The Kitten and Big One, aka (to the vet, based on the names they had when we adopted them and hence the names on their medical records), unfortunately, Onyx and Raven:

Then, my desk. Everyone always seems to think other people are interested in pictures of one's desk. Well, I have never been able to participate in the free exchange of desk pictures, and certainly not in the pay-site exchange of desk pictures -- until now:

Now, we move on to the "kinda blurry self-portrait in a mirror" thing:

If you make it greyscale, then it automatically becomes art:

Finally, one sees both silly faces and "here is a picture of me in the shower although it is really quite modest but aren't I daring" pictures; I combine these genres here:
