Spring, when a young man's thoughts turn to...

... mush, at the moment.

These are things I have pondered today while commuting and then photocopying a 400-page book:

Aren't you glad that that disturbing ad for toilet paper that shows lots of (clothed) butts and urges you to get the fresh and clean feeling where it counts didn't model itself after the disturbing singing belly-button commercial? 'Cause *I* am.

What does it mean for advertising in general that I couldn't tell you either of those brand names? I think the second one was for jeans. Maybe.

Two women at the train station this morning reminded me, respectively, of Kelly Ripa and [livejournal.com profile] arcanus.

I hope some day there's a high-profile dispute over which of two properties should get a historical marker (or, if you prefer, AN historical marker) as, for instance, the town's memorial to a famous native son or daughter and that that the relevant authorities decide that each has an equally valid claim, just so that the resulting headline can be "A Plaque on Both Your Houses."

Why is "Axel F" stuck in my head? At least it isn't Axl Rose.

The GE Riverworks plant sure is a sight to cheer the soul on a cold morning.

I originally typed that "Riverorks," like some kind of aquatic Warhammer brigade.

I must now dash down to the lounge to get some cheap coffee before the usual Wednesday prayer luncheon starts. Whose idea was it to put Classical Studies, Philosophy, and a Methodist seminary all in the same building?

I LOVE that commercial! Especially the shot taken upwards from under the jumping relay-racer.
