So [livejournal.com profile] xenobia imported to LJ a fine time-waster that I see cspariah has picked up on, and as Xenobia hit upon my journal while performing her "click-trek," I thought I might as well pass it on. I won't reiterate the rules as you can find them easily following either of the links above.

I figured I'd start with [livejournal.com profile] adagiogray, since I would be less likely to know many of the people linked from his journal.

I continued on to [livejournal.com profile] carpemortem because she had a nifty bat usericon -- Merlin Tuttle rocks my world. Or something. From her relatively new journal I can see that, as [livejournal.com profile] tiamatlady also makes clear, tax season sucks far more if you are an accountant, even a spooky one. Her website reveals that she is also an adoptive bat parent (J. and I proudly display our photo of the flying fox). She seems like an interesting person -- a military past, a sinister record label with good bands, cats and bats, &c. And how many more ex-members of the Electric Hellfire Club will I run across? Okay, I guess that only makes two in six years, but still.

I could have gotten to [livejournal.com profile] seph_ski via adagio as well, but when she showed up again I figured I'd click away. It seems she's in both of the LJ communities I've joined and knows not only the couple of Ohio goths I know but also [livejournal.com profile] silentq. Since one of the purposes of this trek is to seek similarities, which I suppose could be pressed to the point of ridiculousness, and why not, I see that she lives in Ohio (as I did for my first two decades) and was born the same summer as me. And I have a vet appointment coming up Thursday (for my cats, not for me).

And speaking of cats, I move on to [livejournal.com profile] pleasurekatzen, another ohiogoth. She's a DJ and sensibly despises drama. And demands Triscuits. By what would not be a staggering coincidence even if it were at all relevant, I have myself eaten Triscuits in my checkered past, though not to the point that warranted the random nickname of "Triscuit" my college roommate bestowed upon me, along with a host of others, to increase my mighty legend; this from my alleged mad ninja skillz with which I could fling the crunchy snack with deadly accuracy. I've never actually given this a try, however.

But I digress.

[livejournal.com profile] arioch is next, as I realized I my trek was heavily distaff, and because I figured he'd be demanding blood and souls, and that's always a hoot. In fact, while he did seem to call for some blood at one point, his journal makes for entertaining reading and he mocks personality tests, and that's okay by me. And it bounced me out of an Ohio journal rut (only carpemortem had been outside Ohio until this point) to Michigan. Variety.

[livejournal.com profile] sparklydevil was a short trip -- her journal is all "friends only" except for two posts: the one announcing that policy, and a recent reminder that Toronto people should go to her burlesque show. I heartily approve of burlesque shows, so yay that. I see that she's in Detroit -- more Michigan -- and so perhaps unsurprisingly knows [livejournal.com profile] dethany, and until very recently wrote self-described bitchy art and music columns in a Detroit newspaper.

I cheated a little for the next one and clicked on three different commenters and picked the one who wasn't in Detroit, which led me to [livejournal.com profile] kateisonfire, in Richmond, VA, who talks about porn and masturbation and, best of all, poisson d'Avril.

And that's six; I think I will end it there because it has taken longer than I anticipated, although perhaps I should have known better.

As I need to go and finish reading a tediously written dissertation written 25 years ago, more or less on my topic (at least it's in English), I won't be continuing my French trip write-up until probably tomorrow, 'cause hey, then I'll be at work.

:)

Thanks, your little description of me made me almost laugh. Like where you're smiling, and you feel like laughing, but then you don't laugh because you're by yourself and figure that if you start laughing you might be going crazy. Then again if crazy is laughing, maybe the insane have got one up on all of us.

Anyway, damn that Mickey Mouse, damn him to hell!!!!

Plus I'm the only guy's journal you clicked on aside from the initial person so I will now award myself 5 cool points and go to sleep. Go to City Club in detroit sometime, it's fun. Unless you already do, in which case, nevermind.
