I have a strange Beatles/Marillion medley in my head today.

J. and I spent a few hours expanding the garden yesterday. So much soil. I felt like I was in a One Of Us song.

I have finally succumbed to reading "Harry Potter," since J. bought a copy of the British edition of the first one at Keflavik airport for something to read. It's cute so far. But I can't help wondering if Rowling knew DC Vertigo's "Books of Magic." No doubt the topic has come up before, somewhere.

I have to agree with you there. The initial comparison is extremely strong and familiar. I think they do divulge a bit down the road. Harry is much less of a prat than Timothy, IMO.
