quislibetOne of those days at work where being asked to do my actual job irritates me. Find the address of this scholar. Look up the title of this book online to see if the author's name is really spelled in this peculiar way. Edit book reviews. Blah.
Decent weekend. Saturday LARP with both fun and rather slow parts that ended in a frustratingly chaotic mob scene. (In other words, the usual.) Played old-skool AD&D yesterday. A game-geek extravaganza, this weekend was.
I understand my brother is recovering from being beaten up Friday night, his reward for trying to intervene in a domestic dispute involving the neighbor of a friend of his. The woman whose "help" calls he responded to when he stepped out for a cigarette has since turned on him as well. To top it all off, the subsequent arrival of the police on the scene may end up meaning only trouble for him, as he was drinking underage at his friend's house.
Blah. Fortunately the worst direct result of the fight, as far as injuries go, is that he will need to buy new glasses.
On the up side, I was able to order a sandwich from the sub place in the student union without any misunderstandings or difficulties or even the need for repetition. This may be a first.
Since I can't post it below for some reason, my current music is this.
