It's a good thing I have to get up that early anyway, or I might be irritated by the fact that there's a 12-ish girl across the street who practices trumpet on her back porch around 7:30 AM most mornings. My alarm usually beats her by a couple of minutes.

Still, it's odd to begin the waking up process to "Reveille," or even "Taps."

It would be neat if her morning trumpet sets your mood for the day. Does she do requests? Ask for the James Bond 007 theme.

Hmmm. I haven't asked her. Not a bad idea.

She seems to have a pretty limited repertoire, though. The two I mentioned are the only ones she seems able to play without making painful errors or at least without going at a rather slow tempo. I'm not sure a languid 007 theme would be the best way to start off my morning.
