Sep. 13th, 2002 11:51 amI had never seen the Cirque du Soleil live (I remember seeing a performance on HBO as a lad) until last night, when J. and I went to see "Quidam" at the Suffolk Downs.
Utterly amazing, etheral, beautiful, wicked cool even. And somehow I had enough surprise left in me, with all of the astounding feats taking place 20 feet from me, to be impressed by the simple fact that the music was live.
Unfortunately the world goes on, starting with having to drive back to Salem on 1A and the ongoing annoyances of dealing with insurance for the rear-ending accident we had Sunday. And today there are other stresses, expected and -un, which threaten to overwhelm.
But damn, that show was excellent.
