Nov. 1st, 2002 11:05 amYesterday was a decent day. Not only did I leap the hurdle of having a first draft of my prospectus -- although, sadly, it's something that would have been easy to do at any time since, say, July, but still -- but I also dressed up as a pirate and wandered around Salem for a bit. The Salem Halloween thing is not something I'd do if I had to travel for it, but since I live a five-minute walk from the center of town, why not? There was further impetus provided by some college friends of J. who make the yearly pilgrimage.
It was damn cold, though. And for some reason I failed to meet up with Bunicula and Dancer and co. despite attempting to do so.
And alas -- the Knight of Cups Bakery Cafe is no more. We stopped in and chatted with the friendly proprietors and gave them a copy of J.'s book complete with a write-up of their bakery. We said they should e-mail us when they get set up in New Hampshire so we can include them in the revised edition in a couple of years...
And we bought a lot of pine nuts from them, cheap.
Going to leave a little early today to get to the Peabody Museum at Harvard for an exhibit opening. I guess I'll see some of you there. But since I *am* leaving early and the boss is coming back Monday after a week away, I should try to have some things done to account for how I spent my time in his absence.
Thanks for the congrats re: prospectus. Saturday and Sunday I'll try to trim it a bit, taking time out to meet up with analog_vector if she comes to the Witch City. Which is now a Ghost Town, of course, until about May.
Ha!
Ha!
I'd need a guy with a drum kit to follow me around if I didn't just keep using the same jokes.

That traffic looked horrible! Sorry you were caught in it.
